Céline Vipiana and her husband Richard opened a made-to-measure children's shoe business in Paris in 1945. Women's shoes and leather bags followed, and in 1967 ready-to-wear.

What the size means
In a size like 47-20, the first number is the width of each lens and the second is the bridge over the nose, both in millimetres.
Your current glasses have their size printed on the inside of the temple. A few millimetres either way is fine, and we fine-tune the fit in the boutique.

By the first digit of the number. References starting CL40 are sunglasses and references starting CL50 are optical frames, and it holds consistently across the catalogue. The letter at the end, I or U or F, does not mark sunglasses against optical, even though many places online say it does. Italian opticians even shorten it to S and O following the same logic.
