Fendi eyewear moved in 2021 to production by Thelios, the LVMH eyewear company, and is made in Longarone in the Belluno district. The double FF logo was created in 1965 by Karl Lagerfeld in his first year at the house, originally short for Fun Fur, and it is still the identifying mark on the temples. The families in the catalogue are drawn from the house's own world: Fendi First with the large sculptural F introduced by Kim Jones, O'Lock, Fendi Roma, FF Squared and Selleria with its saddle stitching. One practical detail that matters more than it sounds: many of the acetate models come with adjustable nose pads.
Fendi was founded in Rome in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi as a fur and leather workshop, and it has stayed proudly Roman ever since. In 1965 Karl Lagerfeld joined the house and created the interlocking double F logo that the world still knows today.
That FF monogram sits at the heart of the eyewear, worked into the temples and the hardware with plenty of style. The Fendi First line, with its bold sculpted F on the side, has become a modern signature, and the frames balance Roman craft with a real sense of fun.
